The Pastizal Residence is an artistic residence that has been operating since 2022, within the Las Piedras Private Natural Reserve. A rural space dedicated to the conservation of the Pampean mountain pasture environment, located in Pigüé, in the southwest of the Province of Buenos Aires, at the foot of the Cura Malal mountain range.

The residency combines artistic exploration with environmental education workshops, fostering an immersive experience that encourages participants to contribute to the design of new regenerative cultures.

By prioritizing biodiversity conservation and territorial engagement, Pastizal seeks to inspire artistic projects that reflect on socio-environmental issues, emphasizing art as a tool for transformation—one that can reconcile humanity with nature.

To achieve a cultural shift from the dominant paradigm, Pastizal challenges the root causes of environmental degradation, urging participants to rethink the decisions that led to the present moment. The project sees an urgent need to leverage contemporary artistic practices as a means to explore, question, and propose solutions to current ecological challenges.

The residency aims to bridge scientific knowledge with artistic praxis, fostering a space where critical reflection, conceptualization, and artistic production converge. This interdisciplinary approach opens pathways toward agroecological and regenerative practices, challenging the extractivist paradigm that dominates the relationship between humans and the natural world today.
