Founded in 2015, La Ira de Dios is a contemporary art residency in Buenos Aires, dedicated to supporting experimental creative processes and fostering connections between international artists and researchers and the local art scene. Over the years, we have hosted over 200 artists from 30 countries and organized more than 40 exhibitions.

Residency programs are at the core of La Ira de Dios activities. We provide residents with a platform to develop their projects and engage with the Buenos Aires art scene. Our goal is to create a collaborative and experimental environment where artists and researchers from various backgrounds, contexts, and stages of their careers can share an intensive period of work and connection with the local art scene.

We emphasize the process, viewing the residency as a research opportunity where, rather than being a final stage, new paths of work are initiated. We also encourage the execution of projects in collaboration with other institutions in Buenos Aires and Argentina.

Throughout the program, we organize public presentations and open studio events. Each participant’s agenda is designed around their practice, research, and proposed project.
