The Casa Suiza de La Boca residency was founded in 2014 and is part of the international program maintained by the network of 31 Swiss cities (SKK/CVC) in various countries. Each year, three artists from Switzerland have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the life of the Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Boca for six months.

Residents live and work in this emblematic house in La Boca, where they can engage with the local community, interact with other cultural agents from the Distrito de las Artes, and connect with the rich cultural scene of Buenos Aires.

The combination of a portside neighborhood in a megacity, the challenge of a new language, and cultural codes very different from their home country transforms this interdisciplinary program into a laboratory for reflection, questioning traditional practices, and exploring new forms of creativity. This often-disruptive process requires careful guidance from the residency team, with a strong emphasis on quickly integrating residents into local activities in La Boca.
