CRUDO Residencias is an artist residency program based in Rosario, Argentina, offering a space for both national and international artists since 2014.

It is run by CRUDO Arte Contemporáneo, which was founded in 2012 with the primary goal of creating a space for artistic encounter, dialogue, and experimentation, while promoting local artistic production and building connections with national and international actors within the art field.

Since 2020, CRUDO has been located in the center of the city in the former building of a bank, which spans 700m². The space includes an exhibition hall, 10 artist studios, and a studio exclusively for residents. This setup allows artists to work on their projects while being in constant dialogue and collaboration with other residents.

Throughout the residency, lectures, presentations, and activities are held at local museums, the National University of Rosario, and other cultural institutions. The program also organizes specific activities based on the individual interests of each artist, enhancing their production and fostering connections with the local community.

Artists have the opportunity to visit other artists’ studios, engage with curators and collectors, and participate in tours of the city. The relationship with the Paraná River, the islands in front of the city, and the cultural traditions and history of Rosario are integral aspects of the residency experience. The residency culminates in an open studio, where artists present the work developed during their stay and share their projects with the community.
