Casa/Estudio B’atz’ is part of the artistic platform Demolición/Construcción (ÓN/ÓN). Located in Cabana (Unquillo, Córdoba, Argentina), this mountain village belongs to the Los Quebrachitos Water Reserve, an ecological protection area with a unique microclimate, surrounded by hills covered in native vegetation and intersected by the Cabana stream.

This residency program offers a retreat for artists and researchers to reflect on their trajectory, develop and write projects, organize research, and design interdisciplinary maps based on central themes of their work. Unlike traditional residencies, it does not require the production of artworks; rather, it fosters an open process of inquiry into the theoretical and experiential aspects of artistic practice.
The space is based on knowledge exchange, providing an environment for study, writing, distance from control centers, meditation, and meaningful encounters. It features an extensive interdisciplinary library with over 4,000 volumes (covering contemporary art, design, architecture, essays, philosophy, social sciences, poetry, and more) and a yoga room. The residency is ideal for deepening projects that require time and focus, as well as for working through creative crises.
