Between September 18 and 23, Lina Ángel, Director of R.A.R.O., was invited to participate on behalf of the QUINCHO Network in the annual conference of the international residency networks Res Artis and FAAP, held in São Paulo, Brazil.

Under the title Other Springs – Blooms from the Global South, the conference discussions focused on the importance and roles of artistic residency programs, their influence on artists’ development, opportunities for collaboration, and perspectives from the Global South.

The conference brought together a broad range of Latin American artists and cultural managers, with whom we shared ideas and explored possibilities for building a network connected through micropolitical practices and collaborations. We also had the opportunity to visit the São Paulo Biennial and other events that took place in this important hub for Latin American art during that period.

We would like to thank Res Artis and FAAP for the invitation to participate in the event.
