Clara Nerone, a visual artist and photographer, was selected to undertake the scholarship at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. During her artistic residency, she will work with the Bièvre River in Paris—a waterway that was enclosed and transformed into a stormwater drainage system, crossing the city before flowing into the Seine River—to explore how this river, beyond its physical materiality, can act as an active agent in the creation of new narratives and visual imaginaries. This project is part of a research trajectory that Clara has developed through previous works, such as Buenos Aires Does Not Exist, Artificial Devices Rehearsed to Destroy the Vortex, and (Dis)Landscape.
In 2024, Clara participated in the Constelaciones Scholarship, completing residencies at Poliniza (Córdoba) and later at Proyecto Ace (Buenos Aires City).
We would like to thank Mozarteum Argentino and the Williams Foundation for making this opportunity possible.
