R.A.R.O (Residencias Artísticas R.A.R.O) was established in early 2014 in response to the need for spaces dedicated to the dissemination and creation of art. It offers a self-managed itinerant residency program that initially started in Buenos Aires and has since expanded to Madrid and Barcelona.

The R.A.R.O Residencies are aimed at both emerging and established artists, national and international, from all disciplines. The program is designed for artists who wish to embark on itinerant residencies and work alongside local artists in shared studios to produce their work. Since its inception, R.A.R.O has built a strong network of local artist workshops where visiting artists can develop their projects. Currently, the collective manages 19 workshop spaces in Buenos Aires, each run by experienced artists from various disciplines.

R.A.R.O’s residency model fosters an artistic exchange environment, creating opportunities for artists to develop their projects while sharing knowledge and collaborating with peers. To support this, R.A.R.O has offered special scholarships for artists from Argentina’s provinces and full scholarships for international artists, thanks to partnerships with embassies, institutions, and other residency programs worldwide.
