Zona Imaginaria is an open and active space dedicated to the research, exchange of experiences, and training of artists, with a strong focus on interpersonal relationships through its workshops and residency program.

The residency project “Who Can Live in This House?” aims to establish a dialogue between local and visiting artists through the intervention of the house. It also seeks to create an alternative space for critical reflection on contemporary art and the environments in which it is produced, centered around the concept of the artwork and its integration with the community.

In a time when conflicts, particularly in the Buenos Aires suburbs, lead to the construction of walls and closing doors, this project proposes to open them, inviting people to coexist and create networks. It fosters social connections and cultural aspects of exchange.

Since 2008, Zona Imaginaria has opened its doors, welcoming over 90 artists, both international and from within the country, along with workshops and seminars—free for the neighborhood, targeting children, youth, and adults.

Art serves as the structure that facilitates symbolic encounters and exchanges among participants, forming the framework of Zona Imaginaria, which has defined its identity throughout its history.
