NEWS: Quincho Participates in the Seminar “Art Residencies and Decentralized Practices” Organized by the Surtopías Network

On August 28 and 29, the seminar “Art Residencies and Decentralized Practices” organized by the Surtopías Network took place in Temuco, Chile. Representing the Quincho Network was Eduardo Saubidet, from Epecuén Residencia.

The seminar focused on the need to strengthen networks of artistic residencies and cultural spaces, fostering a platform for sharing and exploring decentralized, sustainable, and context-based management models.

Various opportunities for reflection, exchange, and collaboration were organized, bringing together artists, researchers, cultural managers, and local communities. Roundtable discussions and collaborative working sessions were organized to highlight the role of residencies as spaces for experimentation, intercultural dialogue, and research in peripheral and non-central territories. The seminar also delved into shared learnings and challenges, exploring collaborative self-management models grounded in respect for and appreciation of territorial diversity.
