La Arte has been operating since mid-2015 in the city of Salta as a platform for the dissemination, circulation, and commercialization of the region’s artistic production. The La Arte residency project aims to create a collaborative space for exchange with various communities in Salta, focusing on healthy practices that connect art with nature as a process of knowledge. As a background to this experience, Soledad Dahbar, coordinator of La Arte, has organized Tierra Suelta, an experimental artistic research project for intercultural exchange with members of the Diaguita communities of the Calchaquí Valley (Cachi, Salta, 2017), in collaboration with Andrea Fernández (Tucumán); Residencia Puente Campamento Vespucio (Gral. Mosconi, Salta, 2016) together with Santiago Gasquet (Buenos Aires); Residencia Telúrica II, Encuentro entre arte y artesanía (San Carlos, Salta, 2013) with artists and artisans from Salta; and 5 intenciones y 1 defecto, a visual journey through the province of Salta.
