Residencia Las Cuevas offers an artistic experience situated within a natural context, focused on generating projects connected to nature and rethinking artistic practices. It creates a space for experimentation, exchange, and research in the arts within 200 hectares of the Reserva.

The main objective is to develop transdisciplinary artistic practices, generating site-specific projects where the flora, fauna, and pictographic-archaeological legacy of the reserve are central. The residency encourages the recovery and documentation of popular knowledge within the community, with a focus on recognizing and valuing the native forest, autochthonous trees, and medicinal plants as integral parts of the ecosystem we inhabit and defend.

The residency also aims to foster decolonization of thought and cultural action, offering a place for individual or collective production and research situated within the Latin American regional context. The focus areas include artistic, educational, scientific, and health practices.

Residencia Las Cuevas is supported by the Cerro Colorado Commune and is part of 5célula Arte y Comunidad (International Collective of Associated Artists).
