Casa Nubera offers interdisciplinary national and international residency programs focused on research-creation. Located in Tafí del Valle, in northwest Argentina (Tucumán), the residency is set in a rural region of historical, cultural, and environmental complexity.

With a process-based, decentralized, and cross-disciplinary methodology, our programs encourage situated experimentation and diverse research-creation projects. Aiming to dissolve compartmentalized perspectives on knowledge, art, and production, Casa Nubera welcomes artists, curators, and cultural managers, alongside theorists, professionals, and self-taught practitioners from various disciplines, including humanities, literature, sciences, technology, crafts, and trades.

By fostering encounters with the vital diversity of the land and the varied ways of being, making, and knowing of both residents and locals, we seek to reshape perceptions and cultivate new sensitivities. With this approach, we facilitate collaborative exchanges that generate synergies and fertile actions, enriching both the individual development of each resident and the collective creation of knowledge—nurturing a reciprocal relationship between art, research, and the territory.

Since 2022, Casa Nubera has organized its activities—including residency programs, gatherings, laboratories, and cultural events—in dialogue with and through the participation of local communities, artisans, artists, and educators, as well as various educational and cultural organizations and sustainable development programs in the region.
